As we continue our Cusack Run, we talk about Diana’s pick Better Off Dead... (1985). Polina missed this film growing up, but likes its absurdist nature and complements the way it encapsulates the constant humiliation one feels as a teenager. It was a television staple in Diana's house and is also the catalyst of her first celebrity crush.
Better Off Dead... tells the story of high school student Lane Myer who is suicidal after his girlfriend breaks up with him shortly before Christmas.
